Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic science educator with a passion for inspiring the next generation of scientists? We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our team starting this September!

Our partner school is based in the heart of Rochdale and are committed to providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students can excel in their studies and develop a lifelong love for science. Our school is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, and emphasise hands-on learning and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative science lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and scientific inquiry.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Prepare and conduct laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and other practical activities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the science curriculum.
  • Participate in school events, parents evenings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Must hold QTS.
  • Strong subject knowledge.
  • Proven experience in teaching science at secondary school level.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for science and education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
