Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Humanities and RE to join the Humanities department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality History and Religious Studies lessons to students across key stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for the subject and promoting critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging History and Religious Studies lessons that inspire and motivate students.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the History and RE curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Applications welcomed from ECT’s.
  • Degree in History or a related field.
  • Degree in RE or a related field
  • Experience teaching History at the secondary level, preferably in a UK school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
